Title: Palmerston North Based Payroll/HR Position
Description: Our leading, locally-based client is looking for an experienced Payroll/HR Administrator for a permanent, part time position, starting at around 20-30 hours/week. This is a great opportunity to continue to develop your payroll and HR career and grow within a successful New Zealand business. We are looking for someone with confidence in liaising with management and the broader employee base. Exposure to one or more major payroll systems along with significant experience in Excel is required. This is a largely autonomous role so you must be able to self-manage your time and workload. Some flexibility around work hours may be required. Key responsibilities will include: Compiling and entering of payroll data Reconcilliation and maintenance and accurate and up to date payroll/HR records Weekly, fortnightly and monthly payment runs encompassing different shift patterns and allowances Dealing with personal queries relating to payroll Preparation of all employment agreements / documents Maintenance and compliance of all employee files Management and maintenance of medical insurance memberships Management of ACC related issues Processing of new employees and maintaining employee information Assisting the administration team with other administrative tasks as required To be successful in this role you will: Be experienced with processing high volume payroll Exposure with iPayroll would be an advantage Possess a sound knowledge of payroll and human resources process and legislation Have end-to-end payroll experience Have intermediate to advanced computer literacy skills Have high accuracy and attention to detail Be self-motivated and have excellent organisation skills Be a competent communicator Have the ability to work well in a corporate team environment Have the flexibility to work increased hours in the future as required Be able to deal with HR/payroll enquiries   Apply for this job: Only candidates with proven, relevant experience will be considered for this position.
