Title: Payroll Administrator
Description: Palmerston North Based Payroll Position Part-time position, flexible hours Our leading, locally-based client is looking for an experienced Payroll Administrator for a permanent, part time position, starting at around 15 hours/week. The ideal candidate should preferably have HR as well as payroll experience, as the role will include aspects of HR as well. This is a great opportunity to continue to develop your payroll career and grow within a successful New Zealand business. We are looking for someone with confidence in liaising with management and the broader employee base. Exposure to one or more major payroll systems along with intermediate to advanced skills in Excel is required. This is a largely autonomous role so you must be able to self-manage your time and workload, and have the flexibility to work extra hours if and when required. Key responsibilities will include: Compiling and entering of payroll data Reconciling errors in order to maintain up to date and accurate payroll records Coordinating HR processes Weekly, fortnightly and monthly payment runs, different shift patterns and allowances Dealing with personnel queries relating to payroll and HR Processing of new employees and maintaining employee information Assisting the administration team with other administrative tasks as required Being the first port of call for assisting managers with employment issues To be successful in this role you will: Be experienced with processing high volume payroll Exposure with IMS and/or iPayroll would be an advantage Possess a sound knowledge of the payroll process and legislation Have end-to-end payroll experience Have intermediate to advanced computer literacy skills Have high accuracy and attention to detail Be self-motivated and have excellent organisation skills Be a competent communicator Have the ability to work well in a corporate team environment Have the flexibility to work increased hours in the future as required Be able to deal with HR/payroll enquiries Preferably have some experience with Accounts Receivable and Payable Apply for this job: Only candidates with proven, relevant experience will be considered for this position.
